Experienced staff are on duty 24 hours a day.  All staff have been trained to NXQ Level 1/2 or higher in Health Care. Most have been employed for several years, thus ensuring a high standard of care and a homely, friendly atmosphere,
There is a Nurse Call system in every room.
 Your own choice of General Practitioner and further support of District Nurses, Chiropodist, Dental Surgeon and other professions are also available if needed.

Mr. Lee has been a provider of Spencer House Care Home since April 2016.  His experience in this field has given him an acumen to social care.

Furthermore, Mr. Lee graduated with a degree in accounting and finance, leading him to take on a manager role at a financial institution before joining Spencer House.
His experience in this field has given him an insight to management, making him a well-appointed provider of care Spencer House.

Hari is an experienced Care Provider
and Team Leader running another Care
Home  in Kent, with over a year of experience.  
He is also NVQ Level 5 qualified in Health & Social Care.

Sandra Mercer
Care Manager 

Sandra has worked as a registered manager for over 20years in many settings, from learning disabilities to older persons.
She has a NVQ level 3 in dementia care alongside a NVQ 4 health and social care with RMA (registered manager award) plus many other courses.  




Marta Jaworska 
Senior Carer
Marta is a Senior Carer who has many experience in elderly care, she has been at Spencer House since 2014. Marta has a Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2&3, and is presently completing her level 5.

  • Spencer House employs a dedicated team of carers, cooks and domestic staff, all trained and experienced in their area of work.
  • There are five senior carers all qualified to Level 3 NVQ/QCF in Care with many years experience between them, who deputise for Matron when required.
    Our carers are all qualified to minimum Level 2 NVQ/QCF in care or are presently studying for the award. 
  • Our senior cook has an Intermediate Certificate in Food Hygiene and Nutrition. All other staff (including carers) have a minimum of Level 2 in Food Hygiene.
  • All staff attend regular training courses throughout the year in relation to their roles, including Manual Handling, Dementia Care, Medication Administration, First Aid, Fire Prevention, COSHH and many others based around elderly care.
  • Some of the senior staff are also studying for or have achieved certificates in care management and business.
